Grant for nuclear power plant peripheral areas
The Power Supply Area Promotion Center provides the following grants through Hokuriku Electric Power Company for enterprises supplied with power in the peripheral areas of a nuclear power plant.

Grant for supporting enterprises to be established in nuclear power plant peripheral areas
Enterprises located in nuclear power plant peripheral areas are provided with a grant for their electricity expenses if they meet the requirements.
This grant can be received together with the grant for nuclear power plant peripheral areas.

Requirements
  • Contracted electricity has increased (excluding the consumption for the existing facilities in the case of extension of buildings) and 7 or more new workers are employed because of the construction or extension of plants or offices
  • Electricity bills have been paid by the payment deadline.
  • The municipality managing the location recommends the enterprise.
Benefit term
Eight years beginning at the time of the initial application

Grant amount
Formula: Contracted electricity × (Calculated electricity unit price - Grant unit price) × Number of months of electricity charge payment
*1. The limit for contracted electricity is 1,500kW for enterprises with 7 - 19 new employees and 2,500kW for enterprises with 20 or more new employees.
*2. The grant unit amount is the same as the monthly portion of the grant for nuclear power plant peripheral areas.

Subsidy for supporting enterprises to be established in underpopulated power supply areas
Enterprises located in underpopulated power supply areas or nuclear power plant areas are granted the subsidy if they meet the requirements.

Requirements
  • New construction or extension of plants or offices.
  • 5 or more workers are newly employed because of construction or extension of plants or offices.
Object
Enterprises adding facilities or equipment (buildings, architecture, attached facilities, machinery equipment, furniture, etc.) for use in production or business operation (excluding land). There is no regulation relating to business type, such as manufacturer or non-manufacturer.

Subsidy amount
The limit of the subsidy amount is calculated according to the following standards within the expenses required for the intended facilities. Subsidy unit per area (m2) × Floor space of new building or extension

Note 2: Area A: Municipalities where a nuclear power plant is located and their peripheral municipalities
Note 3: Area C: Designated areas including A-areas, thermal power plant areas and hydraulic power plant areas, excluding municipalities where important power plants requiring countermeasures or important points for promotion of development are located, and their peripheral municipalities.
